Food and Beverages: Lesson Guide

Food is central to Italian culture! This list will help you navigate menus and local markets.

Language & Cultural Tips

Ordering: When asking for food or drinks, it is polite to say "Vorrei..." (I would like) rather than using the direct "I want".

Coffee Culture: If you order a "caffè" in Italy, you will receive an espresso. If you want milk in your coffee, order a "caffè macchiato" or a "cappuccino" (but note that cappuccinos are usually only consumed at breakfast!).
