Whether you are sitting at a sidewalk terrace in Paris or a cozy bistro in Lyon, knowing how to order at a French café is essential. This roleplay game simulates a real-world scenario where you must greet the waiter, order your pastries, and politely ask for the check.
In France, it is culturally mandatory to say "Bonjour" before ordering anything. To order politely, always use "Je voudrais" (I would like), which is the conditional form of *vouloir* (to want). Never use "Je veux" (I want), as it sounds too demanding. When it is time to pay, ask for "l'addition" (the check).
