Asking for Directions in Spain: Lesson Guide

Navigating Madrid or Buenos Aires is much easier with a few key phrases. In this dialogue, you'll learn how to excuse yourself, ask someone where the train station is, and follow their walking directions.

Language & Cultural Tips

To politely stop someone on the street, use "Perdone" or "Disculpe". When getting directions, notice the difference between "todo recto" (or "derecho" in Latin America, meaning "straight ahead") and "a la derecha" (meaning "to the right"). To say "on foot", you can use "a pie" or "andando".
